SXIP

Warning: esoteric technical aside follows.

One of the forthcoming projects we'll be working on is a shared BlogMatrix site where blogrolls, OPML files, radio subscriptions and whatnot can be shared. I've been looking at something called SXIP (pronounced "skip") for a single-login system but there's only one problem: if there's no functional "homesites" available for us to hook into, there's no way we can use this product/service/idea.

I recently came across lid.netmesh.org (Lightweight digital IDentity) which looks it might be another option with a lot less overhead - but I haven't dug deep enough to tell, it may be *too* free of overhead to actually work for your application...

Thanks Mark,

I'm looking at it now. I don't think I'm going to go out of my way to break new ground though -- it's easy enough to come up with a login system (and in fact we have one lying around from a previous incarnation of BlogMatrix).
