Why would they either shut up or join? Have you ever heard of Fritz Gerlich? According to wikipedia he was a "German journalist known for his anti-Hitler publishings". He was also barbarically killed in a concentration camp. So why, you ask, isn't Naomi Wolf and her ilk in the same position. Well, just think what you would do if you ruled America. No facsists, no matter how much intelligence they have on their citezenry, are omnipotent. You cannot kill an idea, but you can kill the merit of an idea by disinformation, or mixing a little lie with some truth. It's called COINTELPRO. Look it up. Afterall, you do it in this article when you set up the straw man argument of "either shut up or join".

Where is the coverage of the hundreds of reports of anomalous bombs being detonated in unsuspecting Iraqi cars, evidence of U.S. counter-insurgancy (i.e. suicide bombings). Where is the uproar over the fact that two British Special Ops agents dressed in full arab garb driving in an explosive-laden car shot and killed two Iraqi policeman. As Naomi Wolf says in her article, the mainstream and even most of the "alternative" media is hopelessly controlled.
